How scores work
A score is only worth having if you can see where it comes from. Here is how ours is worked out.
Who counts
Only owners who have confirmed their phone number count towards a score. One number per account makes fake reviews harder.
One rating per person
Each person counts once for each product. If they change their mind later, their latest rating replaces the old one.
Why some products have no score yet
A score needs at least 3 counting reviews. Below that, one or two opinions could swing it too far, so we say "No score yet" instead.
How the score is worked out
The score is the plain average of the counting ratings, out of 5. Next to it you can see how many people gave each number of stars.
The 12-month score
Some things only show their faults over time. So we also show a separate score from people who have owned the product for 12 months or more. It appears once 3 of them have rated it.
Reviews with a label
Some reviews are shown with a label and do not count towards the score. You can still read them.
- Unverified: the reviewer has not confirmed their phone number yet.
- Incentivised: the reviewer was given something for the review, such as a free product or a payment.
Money does not change a score
Nobody can pay to change a score, or to change which reviews you see first. If we ever earn money when you buy something, it has no effect on either.
